How we select our ingredients

At Dermaceutic, we are committed to remaining informed and maintaining integrity because new does not necessarily mean safe. some materials have suffered from their long history (with many studies published, providing a complete understanding of the risks and benefits), while newer materials have gained popularity precisely due to a lack of information (media hype, etc.). 
Our ingredient and active selection process is based on four fundamental steps while respecting three key characteristics: quality, safety, and efficacy: 
- A thorough investigation of targeted actives from suppliers with solid evidence of efficacy; 
- Research of available bibliographic studies to confirm the data previously collected, ensuring tolerance and usage conditions, and most importantly, to strengthen our information on the efficacy of the pure active substance; 
- Consulting researchers and scientists (biologists and biochemists) to ensure the active’s mechanism of action aligns with the targeted skin benefits; 
- Gathering feedback from our key opinion leaders (KOLs) to collect their experience as medical experts. 

The quality of ingredients at Dermaceutic 

Ingredients, particularly our actives, are strictly selected based on three fundamental characteristics: quality, safety, and efficacy. 

Quality: we pay close attention to the purity of the ingredient, selecting the purest form on the market, ensuring its manufacturing process minimizes impurities, choosing a higher grade of quality (pharmaceutical or cosmetic), and considering its certifications (cosmos, ecocert, etc.), carbon footprint, biodegradability percentage, and more. 

Safety: we conduct thorough toxicological evaluations to select the best version of an ingredient (complete and safe toxicological profiles and safety tests). 

Efficacy: we rely on solid, verified scientific evidence from bibliographic studies and robust clinical data (in vitro and in vivo).

Before launching, preliminary tests are conducted with our KOLs on the target population to ensure feasibility and performance efficacy for natural and long-lasting results.
