Are all the products suitable for patients with a wheat allergy?

As part of our professional products, there are no restrictions.

However we would recommend following the procedure as mentioned on the notice:

- If the practitioner suspects such an allergic reaction may be likely, he or she may apply the product to a 1 cm² sized area behind the ear, following the exact same protocol on this small surface.

- If no unusual reaction is observed within 72 hours, the facial peel can go ahead.

Regarding our homecare range, please find below the products which are not wheat-free:

  • Yellow Cream (contains wheat germ oil)
  • Hyal Ceutic (contains wheat germ oil)
  • Sun Ceutic 50+ (contains wheat protein)
Are all the products suitable for patients with nut allergies?

When using skincare products, the risk for nut allergies is small or non-existent since the ingredients used (for example oils produced from nuts) have been refined to the point that most of the proteins which may cause allergies have been removed.

In case of doubt, please test the products behind the ear and check 24 hours later for any reactions.

Here is a list of examples of Dermaceutic products which include nut derived ingredients:

Products

Why does the Tri Vita C30 change color?

The Tri Vita C30 is a product made up of a blend of 3 forms of Vitamin C for a total Vitamin C concentration of 30%. Among the forms of Vitamin C is L-Ascorbic acid at 15%. This molecule is highly sensitive in the presence of certain factors such as high temperatures, oxygen, light, and water. The result is an oxidation reaction that translates into a noticeable change in color over time (from slightly yellow to brown). This phenomenon is, however, natural and expected in a formula containing L-Ascorbic acid at a high percentage. Note that to limit this phenomenon, Dermaceutic has chosen an opaque, airless pack and formulated the product with a minimum amount of water.

When stop using Activ Retinol 0.5/1.0 is it suitable during summer?

Activ Retinol 0.5/1.0 is indeed a product that can sensitize and make the skin more reactive when used too often. This is due to Retinol, a very powerful molecule recognized as one of the standard active ingredients for anti-aging (because it stimulates fibroblasts to reinforce the structure) and its "irritating" effects are mainly due to its action that stimulates cell renewal which provides a beautiful radiance, tightens pores, and gives a smoother skin texture. It is therefore important to avoid using it too intensively and to avoid combinations with other AHA-based products. We do not limit the use of the product to the winter period, but we strongly recommend using it in the evening and spacing out the use if there is discomfort.

Why do you use 3 different forms of vitamin C in the Tri Vita C30?

The combination of three forms of Vitamin C in the Tri Vita C30 creates a unique synergy that optimizes the product's efficacy.

These three forms are characterized by different behaviours in relation to cell membranes: Ascorbyl ester is fat-soluble and penetrates well throughout the cell membranes, whereas Ascorbic acid and Ascorbyl silano remain on the surface since they are water-soluble.

The fat-soluble form can therefore act more deeply to promote deep restructuring, while the water-soluble forms exert their action in the epidermis for enhanced protection and regeneration.

What is the difference between Foamer 5 and Foamer 15?

The difference between the two products results from the intensity of the glycolic acid concentration. Foamer 5 contains 5% of glycolic acid and Foamer 15, 15%. The glycolic acid or AHA (Acid α-hydroxy) derived from fruit acids is known for its keratolytic action. It easily penetrates the skin to stimulate cell renewal by destroying the bonds that bind dead cells together. Foamer 15 is more intense and is ideal for normal to oily skin.

Why does the Mela cream change color?

Mela Cream is a product containing a combination of brightening agents, keratolytic, and retinol. Retinol is a form of Vitamin A that is very sensitive in the presence of certain factors such as high temperatures, oxygen, and light. Combined with the other active ingredients, the oxidation reaction is amplified and results in a noticeable change in color over time (from slightly yellow to brown). This phenomenon is nevertheless natural and expected in a formula containing retinol. Note that to limit this phenomenon, Dermaceutic has chosen an opaque, airless pack.

Do you use liposomal technology?

In general, this technology is used for food supplements but its use is now expanding to the cosmetic industry. The goal is to reach the deeper layers of the epidermis and increase the bioavailability of the active ingredients.Liposomal active ingredients are better assimilated by our body thanks to the similarity of liposomes and the composition of the membranes in our cells.Dermaceutic does not currently use this technology.

Which spectra does the Sun Ceutic cover?

Sun Ceutic 50+ contains a combination of chemical filters and mineral filters. They ensure high protection SPF but also protection in the two fields within the ultraviolet rays spectrum: UVA and UVB.We have evidence demonstrating that Sun Ceutic 50+ offers a broad spectrum of protection on the UVB (SPF50+) and UVB spectra.

What does SPF 50 refer to?

It is important to differentiate UVA protection against UVB considering that two different tests have to be performed (SPF & UVA-PF). Our protection cream includes UVA & UVB protection but regulatory speaking the SPF 50 label is related to UVB protection only and this label is the one which is usually mentioned on packs. Regarding UVA-PF (UVA protection factor), we also meet the requirement to be at least at 1/3 of the SPF 50 which is the minimum to obtain to comply with the regulations and to be able to mention UVA protection.

Why is there parrafinum liquid in radiance?

Parrafinum liquid retains moisture, thereby accentuating the hydrating and calming effect of the product. It is also well tolerated by the skin. The Paraffin oil used in cosmetics is highly refined and meets strict health criteria. Different studies have shown that Paraffin oil is not completely occlusive and therefore allows skin to breathe.

What is the origin of glycerin in K Ceutic?

The Glycerin used by Dermaceutic is 100% derived from a natural origin.

Which Dermaceutic products are silicone-free?

Some Dermaceutic products contain silicone. This information is specified in the product sheets. The percentage of silicon used in some of the products is very low and in accordance with the current safety regulations and tests.

Are Dermaceutic products tested on animals?

Dermaceutic products are not tested on animals.
