The secrets of light ceutic: an exclusive interview with laura, head of research & development team

In the world of skincare, the pursuit of innovations that effectively target specific skin concerns is relentless. Today, we look at the captivating story behind the making of "Light Ceutic," our unifying night cream.

Laura, Head of Dermaceutic Research & Development team joins us for an exclusive interview. She gives us insight into the origins, formulation, and features that make Light Ceutic stand out on the market.

Interview with laura from dermaceutic R&D team on the history and formulation of "Light Ceutic"

Q: What was the starting point/origin of the idea to develop Light Ceutic ?

The initial concept was a stimulating formula, a night cream designed to promote cellular renewal with targeted action against blemishes using phytic acid. It aims to prevent pigmentation using phytic acid.

Q: How long has Light Ceutic been on the market?

Light Ceutic has been on the market for 10 to 15 years.

Q: Were there any specific factors, such as market demands, technological innovations, or consumer needs, that influenced the decision to develop this product?

Observations from over 200 million women worldwide affected by pigment disorders led to the development of Light Ceutic and fruit acids targeting cellular renewal to enhance complexion (radiance). In terms of formulation, a lamellar emulsion mimicking the skin layers was employed for better texture, allowing improved penetration of active ingredients combined with optimal concentrations.

Q: How does this new product distinguish itself from existing products on the market?

We adjusted the formula's pH to enhance the effectiveness of fruit acids, utilizing pH control to optimize product efficacy.

Q: What key technology or innovation was used in the development of this product?

The phospholipids technology forms lamellar emulsion which reproduces the skin layer. Thanks to the presence of lecithin, Siligel is a penetration booster for active ingredients. It permits to obtain formulation with a silicone like skin feel. The combination of ingredients is optimized for superior product efficacy and tolerance.

What are Light Ceutic  formula active ingredients?

5.6% GLYCOLIC ACID

AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) is derived from fruit acids and known for its keratolytic action. It easily penetrates the skin to boost collagen production and stimulate cell renewal by destroying the links that bind dead cells together.

The plus: by exfoliating the skin, it facilitates the penetration of the other actives.

2% PHYTIC ACID

Lightening and antioxidant agent that has a synergic action to brighten complexion when used with glycolic acid.

3% VITAMIN C COMPLEX

Potent antioxidant, obtained by vectorizing L-Ascorbic acid using silanol technology, providing protection against the free radicals responsible for photoaging. Improves skin firmness and elasticity and activates collagen synthesis.

The Light Ceutic formula contains a powerful combination of acids to offer multiple benefits, including a more harmonized and brighter complexion. The skin’s permeable barrier at night enables it to provide maximum efficacy, helping maintain cell turnover for healthy skin.
  • +13.6% increase in complexion luminosity
  • -12.3% reduction in wrinkles and crow’s feet.
  • 100% of patients trust the efficacy and performance of Light Ceutic

That’s why we recommend Light Ceutic that resurfaces the superficial layers of the skin and removes dead cells to help accelerate this process, particularly overnight. When the skin is resting, the cutaneous barrier is more permeable, enabling actives to better penetrate the skin while cell renewal is at its maximum. Active ingredients such as glycolic acid exfoliate skin, stimulate the renewal process, and enhance the natural regeneration cycle overnight.
